Open role
Multimedia Content
& Web Producer
Freelance contractor
The role
You know how we operate, so no surprises here: this role is genuinely wide. Video and photography on location one day, website updates and schema cleanup the next, a steady content cadence running in parallel.
We move between disciplines in the same week, often the same day, and own the work end-to-end rather than handing it off at each seam. That's a wide job description, but nobody comes in running all of it from the start. The scope builds as we do.
The clients are healthcare clinics and real estate. Different landscape from what we were doing together before, and worth knowing going in. The work is specific to those verticals and you'll be on-site occasionally in both.
We work shoulder-to-shoulder. You'll manage your own pieces and call out blockers early, but we're in close contact and you'll never be left stuck or guessing what done looks like.
What you'll do
Web & content
- Maintain websites across multiple stacks: WordPress, Astro, and 11ty.
- Work in VS Code and use Claude Code to make and ship changes (no need to know these on day one).
- Coordinate and publish content for healthcare and real estate clients, including a steady weekly post cadence across multiple healthcare clients.
- Help build and grow a library of city and neighborhood guides for a real estate client.
- QA work across browsers and devices before it goes live.
- Recognize and strategize opportunities for improvement.
SEO
- Keep content semantically aligned for both audiences: the copy a person reads and the structured data (schema) that speaks to search engines.
- Work in the SEO toolkit: Semrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and more, to track performance, spot opportunities, and guide content decisions.
- Audit and QA SEO implementation as part of every publish.
Video
- Capture video on location at healthcare clinics and real estate properties.
- Edit footage into finished, client-ready pieces using DaVinci Resolve.
Photography
- Shoot on location at healthcare clinics and real estate properties.
- Edit and retouch images for web and marketing use with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Graphic design
- Create, manage, and modify graphic assets to support marketing campaigns across both verticals.
- Work in Adobe CC for production and asset delivery.
Portal build (healthcare client)
- Partner on a full company portal: a benefits site, atomic process documentation, an LMS (learning management system), and a helpdesk.
- Help structure and build each piece so it stays clear, current, and genuinely usable for employees.
- Help build and maintain training documentation so managers can own the portal long-term.
What this asks of you
- Range, and a genuine interest in the full picture. Professional experience across several of these disciplines is the foundation. You won't be doing all of it from day one. The scope builds, and your ownership of it builds with it.
- Reliability on-site. You'll be at healthcare clinics and real estate properties representing the work. How you show up in those settings matters.
- Close communication. Raising blockers early and staying in rhythm is as important as output quality. We succeed and fail together.
What you'll get from Marcus
- Someone genuinely in your corner. You'll get honest feedback on your work, real walkthroughs of tools and how I think about strategy, and a working relationship where your growth is the point, not just your output. I want you to come out of this with a sharper skillset, a broader network, and more than you came in with.
- Work that fits your life. You're judged on delivery, not the clock. Daytime business hours are the frame, but your start, stop, and breaks are yours to set within that.
- A path forward. As the role matures, you'll grow into direct client relationships: owning communication, managing expectations, and representing the work independently.
What you'll need
- A reliable personal computer (macOS a plus) and a fast, stable internet connection.
- Adobe CC.
- We provide all hardware for multimedia production (cameras, lighting, etc.).
